Bedwetting
Normally most of the children develops bladder control up to the 4 years of age. So if child continue uncontrolled
urination in bed even after 4 years age require treatment
Causes :
- Slow development of bladder control
- Anxiety
- Urinary tract infection
- Juvenile diabetes
- Worms
- Psychological upset
Symptoms :
Child sleeps deeply at night and it is difficult to arouse the child It may not even understand that bed is wet.
Along with bed wetting child might show symptoms of excessive fear, emotional liability and parent-child mal
adjustment.
Do and Don’ts:
Give the positive reward
Praise and encouragement for every dry night
Do not make the child feel guilty about the episodes of bed wetting and do not scold him/her.
See that child empties the bladder before going to be.
Hitting the child does not solve the problem.
